Who are we?
The Ice Crystals Synchronized Skating Team was formed in 1996. Our members range in age from 8 to 18 and have competed in Massachusetts, New York, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and Canada.
What is Synchronized Skating?
Synchronized skating is a form of team skating involving speed, accuracy and intricate formations. Teams of 8 to 20 skaters perform various moves in unison on the ice, such as kick lines, blocks, circles, and pinwheels. Teams are judged by how well they skate in unison, by the accuracy of their formations, and by the synchronization of the team.
ICSST is dedicated to creating enjoyable opportunities for skaters through synchronized skating. The team encourages both team and individual efforts, sportsmanship, and physical well-being. The Ice Crystals promote positive life skills such as: commitment, self-discipline, willingness to work hard to meet challenges, and the ability to work with and be respectful of others.
