guest coach policy

Coaches may Guest Coach on CVSC ice 6 sessions per year with proper current credentials in either of the following: US Figure Skating, Skate Canada or the Ice Skating Institute. 

GUEST COACH PROCESS

STEP 1: Guest Coach Registration (must be completed annually)

Champlain Valley Skating Club (CVSC) is happy to welcome Guest Professionals to coach skaters on CVSC Ice Sessions.  For the safety and protection of you, other professionals, and all of our skaters, we require that all Guest Professionals register with CVSC once per Skating Year, review and comply with our Club Rules, pay an ice fee, and check in with the ice monitor of each session they attend.

Please email cvsc.skating@gmail.com with your request to guest coach and to send the required documents.
 

Required Documents

• (You will NOT be allowed on CVSC Ice until you have submitted all of these):
  • USFS Card, with SafeSport Compliance Card attached (available online in USFS Members Only)
  • A Certificate of Liability Insurance, naming Champlain Valley Skating Club as additional insured:

Please be sure to let us know when you plan to be on the ice.

The CVSC Board of Directors reserves the right to deny/revoke Guest Coaching privileges. 

If the Guest Coach wishes to continue coaching after 6 sessions, then they may apply to become a member of our CVSC professional staff.
