On thin ice adult theater team

On Thin Ice (OTI) is an adult skating group open to adult skaters of all abilities for the 2024-25 season.  Please join us!  OTI is committed to providing a team atmosphere in which skaters with a variety of skills can work together on both skating and theatrical skills.  It is open to skaters who want to simply want to improve their skills in a fun environment, as well as those who are interested in performing or competing.  Competition and Performing are not mandatory.

Monday skating sessions open to all adults

OTI is inviting all club (and potential club members) 18+ to join us at Leddy on Monday nights through April 2025.  Ice time is currently 7:00PM - 8:00 PM September through November. Ice time will shift for December through February to 7:30 - 8:30 pm. It will return to 7:00 - 8:00pm for March and April. Our emphasis for this years adult sessions is on having fun and improving both individual and group skating skills.  Currently, the cost is $25 per session, payable at each session with no commitment to attend each session.   If interested in joining us on Monday night's we'd love to have you stop by and skate with us. For those who want to compete: Who is eligible?  What are the minimum requirements?

OTI members who want to compete or perform must be members of US Figure Skating, full or associate members of Champlain Valley Skating Club (CVSC).  Skaters must have passed at least one US Figure Skating test (other than a basic skills badge).  This may include an adult or standard Moves in the Field (MIF)/Skating Skills, individual preliminary dance test solo or partnered (passing the entire dance category not required). For skaters who have previously passed USFS tests, those tests will apply by using your USFSA number when the tests were taken.
